Teachers Pension Scheme - Useful Information

For the Teachers’ Pension your first port of call should be the SPPA Website. This is quite a large website and can seem quite daunting to navigate.

However, here are some of the most useful Links:

  • SPPA Log In Page
  • How Your Pension Works
  • Pension Benefits Explained
  • Teachers Pension Calculator
Teachers Pension Calculator - Video Completion Guide
  • Growing Your Pension
  • Ready for Retirement
  • The Retirement form
The Retirement form - Video Completion Guide
  • The Teachers “Remedy” Hub
  • Remedy Calculator

You may also want to contact the SPPA directly. The best email address is sppacontactus@gov.scot .

If you do contact them by email make sure that in the header of the email you put your name and SPPA number so that they can identify you.

If your query is of a more general financial matter you could speak to Money Helper and Pension Wise. This is a free and impartial government service that helps you understand the options for your pension, savings and investing. They will not offer advice but guidance only.
